We stopped in the town of Salamanca for a few hours, it was pretty spectacular. We found out that there is lots of uphill walking in Spain and Portugal, lots. Before we left, I checked the weather and it was supposed to be 22 Celsius approximately at this time of year. Well, I don’t know what happened but it was from 38-45 Celsius pretty much every day, it was stinking hot. When we entered the city gates, it was uphill to a big square and then we were left to our own devices. Clint and I went to the Chapel of St Bartolome and it was a very beautiful church.

We really enjoyed this city although we were not there very long but now we are headed to Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. They are across the river from each other and both are lovely although I think Porto is a tiny bit nicer !
See you soon.
