Well back to Alberta and into the city of Grand Prairie. Thursday 24 August and we drove straight to Grand Prairie Rotary RV Park but this time we had site 32. The park is clean, quiet and the lady who runs it is a real sweetheart. We had a different site this time but same area.
We drove straight to Liard River Provincial park. We wanted to stay here on our way to Alaska but it was booked solid. We were able to choose our site, any that were empty were up for grabs. We chose Site 32 for $26 a night. No services. this is a well maintained park and very quiet. On the way here, we saw so many buffalo, singles and then a whole herd. Lots of babies and some are smaller and lighter coloured and some are bigger and darker but all still feeding off their moms.
Thursday, 10 August – We drove to Centennial Park just outside of Anchorage. We were wondering where to stay as some of the campgrounds did not have good reviews and actually neither did this one. But this turned out to be a great park and we saw this bear in the campground ! So win-win for me. Great park, great wildlife.
So we made it to Alaska, we are in Chicken Alaska!
