Above photo was taken on the way to the airport. We left Java and flew to Bali, it was an hour flight. We went straight to our hotel and it was lovely, the Puri Saron Hotel in Seminyak. I think I was so busy enjoying the hotel that I didn’t a lot of photos! Our room was up 4 flights of stairs, no elevators, but it was a lovely room and we weren’t there long because they had a beautiful pool with a swim up pool bar so guess where we spent the rest of the day. This trip is go go go at all times and we really appreciated some down time to relax and do nothing.

The next morning we had to leave this awesome hotel an drive to Munduk. We stopped at the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, a UNESCO Heritage site. It was quite scenic and we saw people picking rice and a young boy playing with his puppy. It was a beautiful sunny day and just perfect for exploring.

We left there and stopped at the Ulun Danu Lake Temple which was such a pretty spot and it is one of the most photographed and most important temples in Bali. It dates back to as early as 1556 and in 1663, it rebuilt by King Mengwi using a mixture of Buddhist and Hindu architectural styles.
It was a busy day, after visiting this temple and having lunch there, we headed to the Baturiti Fruit Market and then to Twin Lakes and it’s waterfalls. After we finished, we headed to another Homestay. They called it that but we had our own private cottage so I don’t think this qualified.
