When we were in Darlington Provincial Park, we were so close to Oshawa we decided to see what there was to do in the area. One afternoon, we drove to the Canadian Automotive Museum and spent a lovely couple of hours looking at all the old cars and reading about history of car making, particularly in Canada.

We also stopped at Brewery, big surprise…..a brewery called All or Nothing Brewery. The first photo of Bob Ross on a mural was in this brewery. I always loved Bob Ross and I liked watching him on TV. We enjoyed their beer and they had a fairly big gift shop/store. We bought some sausages to BBQ which were really good and they had other items for sale, muffin and cookie mixes, dog treats, beer and much more.

And we’re here !
Quite a great selection of items

Another day we went to 5 Paddles Brewing Company, they also had some good beer and we really liked one carving that they had in the shop.

While we were in Darlington Provincial Park, we did a lot of biking. We biked around the park and we also left the park to connect to some beautiful bike trails. Clint loves biking and I like it but not as much as he does but usually he will bribe me with the sentence, ” we can stop for a beer somewhere” and then I’m down for the ride. We drove about 20 kms one day from the Park to Town Brewery Pumphouse, set on Lake Ontario. What a great spot to end up at. They have a cool structure, walls only, not sure what it used to be and then picnic tables so you can have a view of Lake Ontario. They also have food including wood fired pizza which is what we chose to have that day.

That’s it for Darlington Provincial Park, we will head back there when we get the chance.
We did two other Provincial Parks this summer, Fitzroy and Bon Echo, let’s head there next !
