One day on a drive in the Park, we came across a beaver on the side of the road eating his lunch. We kept our distance but continued to watch him/her and at one point he crossed the road and we watched him chew down this tiny branch, well tiny for us but not for him.

He is definitely in there, can you spot him?
Beavers are so busy all the time and they are fun to watch. They are considered the largest rodent in North America but I never think of them as a rodent. We even have a beaver picture on our 5 cent coins!

Oh right, eat some more

We really enjoyed our time watching him 
Gotta get this branch to my dam 
I love their little hands and how they can grip things so easily 
I am getting tired of eating so I will just lay here with my snack in my mouth….for later

Below is one of my favourite spots in the Park, it’s March Hare Lake. From the road there is a small body of water and then the dam and then the lake. Every time we go there the water seems to be at different levels. This year the water was low but other times, the water will be right up to the top of the dam. And yes, in case you are wondering, we have put our canoe in the lake on the other side of this dam too so we could go for a paddle.
