Lake Nakuru National Park …….So many flamingos…….a friend of ours, Mike, used to live in Kenya and he told me he would come to this Park to photograph the birds. I can see why as it was quite something to see. We did see a variety of other birds but with not having my “big” lens, some of my photos are not the best; however, I am keeping them as I will likely never get the chance to see some of these birds again!
The first bunch of photos are at the water edge where the flamingos hung out and we were allowed to get out of the jeeps……..or were we? I hope I got all the names correct; I was told by our guides and/or researched so fingers crossed!

We were allowed to stop and get out of the jeeps for a bit at this spot to photograph the flamingos

That’s quite a collection from this day’s trip Susan. I was wowed from the beginning by the flamingos and pelicans, then more and more birds as you went along. Lots of unique birds to see then you got into the big critters. 🙂 The lion cubs were so sweet and the sleeping family made me smile as well. Those water buck are so much bigger than our White-tailed deer we see but the Impala is so dainty next to them. How did I know that was a hyena? Did it laugh for you?

haha I wish it had laughed for us ! That would have been great but for the most part, all the animals were so quiet. There was an amazing amount of birds there, it was pretty spectacular.
