Dayton, Ohio – National Air Force Museum

This museum was one of the better ones we have ever been to. I believe we spent about 6 hours here touring around. It’s quite large and so many planes, displays and information. Parking and entrance fees are free. They show movies and you have to pay $10 each to see any of them. We watched a 50 minute long movie about fighter pilots and a movie about D-Day which was about 45 minutes long. They had displays on the Cold War, Vietnam, WWII, WWI, Korea, Space and so much more. Well worth a visit.

After the museum, we headed over to Warped Wing Brewery for a bit. Very nice beer and food.

Now we are off to Kentucky !

  1. A cool museum and a brewery. Love how you two fly! 😄 If you ever make your way to Tucson, there is a museum in the area you might appreciate. Pima Air and Space Museum. 👍🏻 Safe travels!

  2. Sounds like you enjoyed your day Susan … I liked that chubby plane too and the dog with the backpack was cute. I thought I had been here as a teenager, but remembered I went to the Wright-Patterson Museum, so I Googled it and it is the same place. I remember the plane hanging from the ceiling was very cool. In the link they show a huge airplane – maybe that is the one I remember. The beer glasses were interesting.
