South East Asia – Hue, Vietnam – 2024 – Part 19

After we got off the train, we went to our hotel to drop our luggage off and then walked to a restaurant for breakfast. It was set up like an old Vietnam war restaurant. Old Jeeps, camouflage, and other artifacts.

We did a bus tour of the city and ended up at the Imperial Citadel, then off to a Royal Tomb and also the Tien Mu Pagoda.

Imperial City/Citadel

My post is getting kind of long so I think I will finish off our day on the next Blog post!

See you soon…

  1. The Citadel and Pagoda – there are so many of these large and sometimes colorful or ornate buildings, in between older or run-down areas, but I guess that is true for many historical places. I had heard of that monk that set himself on fire. The bright blue car was a surprise to see … it looks in perfect condition but was it always that color? I guess he was far enough away from the car to not damage it when he set himself on fire.
