Eastern Canada, Here we Come – Baie Trinity, Quebec – 2025 – Part 7

We stayed one night at a Municipal campground in Baie Trinity. Just for info, in case anyone is planning a trip through Quebec, Campground prices are around 40-65 dollars per night and we paid $1.48 a litre for gas in this area.

Between our drive here and setting up our trailer, we just did a little drive around the area, nothing too exciting. The next day we headed to Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan for a couple of days.

      1. Oh geesh, that’s a lot. Regular 87 octane is 3+ dollars a gallon, I don’t have to but do run 91 octane in my 4 cylinder 2 litre Buick engine per GM suggestion because it has a turbo charger. It runs great! That fuel is close to five dollars a gallon, it’s ridiculous. I see fuel selling for 2+ dollars back east. There’s no excuse for the price gouging!

      2. I agree, Susan, it’s understandable that prices rose sharply during the pandemic but prices have not subsided across the board it seems, hence human greed remains in place. It’s so ridiculous. As I like to say when making a comment like this – they can make all the money in the world, but they can’t take it with them when they pass…

    1. Thanks Linda 😊 no the price is about right. We pay anywhere from $30-$70 a night for a campsite and when we go to Algonquin Park, which is a provincial park, we pay almost $50 a night and we only have Hydro(electricity )there’s no water or sewer.

      1. Wow – I had no idea what the rates were, but it is still cheaper than a hotel. Algonguin Park should give you a weekly, or in your case, a monthly, rate. I think you said you were there five weeks and usually stay long periods of time every Summer.
