The Louvre Museum was quite something. We did not stay a long time, I have an aversion to crowds of people and it was quite busy, some parts of the museum were literally shoulder to shoulder. I enjoyed what we saw but honestly you would have to spend hours and hours here to see everything. I have read somewhere that they are thinking of putting the Mona Lisa into her own room and of course, charging extra to see her. I was surprised when I saw this famous painting because it was so very small. And really, who determines what paintings become famous and sought after? It wouldn’t be in my top 100 paintings lol

We had read about the Grand Mosque of Paris and off we went to see this Mosque. It was a beautiful spot and they had lovely gardens out back to walk through.

It was a lovely building

A few more miscellaneous photos below. We liked to walk so after we took transport to wherever we had tickets to each day, then we would walk around that area of the city. Below is a photo of the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel located near the Louvre Museum (about 20 meters/63 feet high)and is different from the Arc de Triomphe which most people are familiar with. The Arc de Triomphe is located in the centre of Place Charles de Gaulle (50 metres/164 ft high).

Well we are almost done in Paris, there is so much to see and do in this city and we most certainly did not see or do all there is. We made the most of each day but it’s a big city. We do end up back here at the end of the next tour we are taking and so we were able to pack a few more things in. More on that later on.
Next post is the last one for this week in Paris…………
