The Old Fox Dies

I had posted a link in a post recently that I wrote on foxes and pine martens that we saw in Algonquin Park this past May. The link worked for me when I did my edit but I did have people tell me the link didn’t work for them so I am reblogging this one. It’s sad though…………..get your Kleenex out…….

  1. Wow – what a beautiful animal and white streaks in his fur, just like when a dog gets older. (I follow Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary on Facebook – pretty amazing to see these dogs with completely white fur on their faces.) As to this post, I enjoyed seeing this dog and his kits – learned something new; I never knew the male fox was called a dog. That is sad … I feed the squirrels and birds too, but have some angst when I give squirrels peanuts and they go into the center of the field to bury it as hawks circle above us. I know it is the circle of life and that’s bad enough but people baiting animals and them losing their lives from that is sadder still. Thanks for reposting the link for us Susan.
