I am fairly confident that anyone who knows me and/or reads my Blog knows that I LOVE moose. They are the Lion King of Canada in my opinion. King of the Forest etc etc. We go to the Park a lot, sometimes for a day or sometimes for up to a month and we always see Moose. I particularly love the Goldens (baby moose, so named because of their golden brown colouring) and also the Bull Moose. You will typically see the Goldens late May and into June. The Bulls are always around but the Fall is the prime time to see them with their antlers at their finest. In November they start to lose their antlers and then in late March/April, they start to grow them again.

Trying to Hide from us, we were on the highway
Sassy!

time to go….
We spotted the moose (above) one day and there was two other people on the side of the highway. Jesse Villemaire and one of his clients. Jesse is owner, along with his wife Susan, (what a lovely name!) of Follow Me North. They do workshops, take clients into the Park and also do other tours, i.e. Africa, British Columbia etc. It was nice visiting with him, we always seem to run into him when we are in the Park.
This next guy was spotted another day, again on the side of the highway. Well, let me clarify, we were on the highway, he was in the marsh!
And how about this guy? Such a pleasure to see these animals.

His antlers are very small so I would guess this is a younger fella
Watching me watching him
Peek A Boo!
I feel like he is being a little flirty
They sure do like to cross the highway. You have to be very careful and observant when driving through the Park.
Now this next guy is an older one, you can see his antlers are bigger than some of the other moose.
One more moose we saw and then I shall stop boring you!

Hiding behind trees but spotted nonetheless
Thirsty?
Cow or as I like to call them (by their technical name)……….a Girl Moose
That’s it for moose photos for this trip, hopefully in the fall I will be able to photography some more. I cannot get enough of these guys/gals.
Take care………..

They are so big and powerful, but keep your distance! Moooooose! ❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️
