Tanzania !

So we have finished our two week trip in Kenya and now Clint and I are on our way to Tanzania. Only one other couple is going with us, everyone else flew home. It was a sad morning saying goodbye to everyone and to our drivers/guides and tour Director, we had such an amazing time.

So now some photos from our drive and our first stop. The first part of our drive was quite a unique landscape, as shown in the photo above and the two below. Very desolate looking and lots of sand/dirt.

Next stop….Serengeti…..probably my favourite place, or one of, on this entire trip.

Stay safe………..

  1. Wow, I love your lodging! It’s very beautiful. The areas outside of the village are a bit like the barren spaces of the Mojave Desert. Lovely photos, guys! ❤️😊

  2. Interesting photos Susan – I don’t know how the women can carry so much weight on their head either. I was somewhere and thinking it was the San Blas Island which was a port of call on a cruise and the women were carrying water on their head and also baskets of fabric which they weave for their livelihood. [I got quite far behind in Reader – between bouts of stormy weather in the evenings and I am retiring this week, so trying to get a lot down before I leave. Hopefully I will stay caught up better then.]

      1. It would be rough – flat basket or bucket on a round head! I can’t believe it is one week already since I retired – time passes by so quickly (and it never passed by that quickly during the workday)!

      2. I feel like my regimented day has gone astray a bit! I also feel like that when there are several days of rain and I don’t walk, which happened this week. It is like my day has no structure to it. It’s still a strange feeling to me after 50 years to have unlimited time to myself.
