Africa – Masai Mara National Reserve – Part 2

So we’re still in the Masai Mara which kind of reminds me a little of the province of Saskatchewan to be honest. Somewhat flat and lots of brown grass !

We spotted a bunch of jeeps in a circle and saw that there was a male and female lion in the center. I wasn’t keen on this to be honest, although everyone said they are used to it but that doesn’t make it right.

We saw so many animals here; ostrich, topis, jackals, giraffes and more. But more exciting was spotting 2 cheetahs on a mound of dirt and another on the move.

That’s it for the lions and cheetahs and jeeps………..See you soon

  1. Fabulous photos! Seeing their wild beauty up close through your lens is an emotional experience. I understand and share your feelings. 😔 Thank you for adding the note about Saskatchewan – my grandfather’s birthplace. I’d love to visit there someday.

  2. Yes, it is sad to see the circle of Jeeps with the lion pair in the middle. I guess they aren’t scared, but maybe intimidated a bit? Was it warm and sunny that was making not only the lions sleepy but the cheetah yawning too? Maybe they are bored with the tourists and wish they’d move on. 🙂
