Clint took the photo of me (above) this past Thursday, Smoke Lake is behind me.
So …………….How did I get this old this quick? lol Time sure flies……….I turned 65 this past Thursday (2 May) and Clint had asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I told him I wanted to go to Algonquin Park, my favourite spot. We got up at 430 am on Thursday and drove the 2 1/2 hours to the Park to spend two days there. We had rented a motel room in Whitney, a tiny little village just outside the main gate of the Park. Usually we camp but our trailer is not ready to be used yet and we were only going for one night. My birthday dinner was at the Mad Musher restaurant just down from our motel where we had a nice dinner and maybe a beer or three……….
We did lots of hiking, lots of driving and saw 4 moose, fox, grouse, assorted ducks, herons, birds and some more stuff!

We had a great two days, the weather was pretty good too. Hopefully no more rain for a bit, it’s been raining a lot here but at least stopped in time for my birthday ! lol
Thanks for stopping by !

Happy Birthday, Susan! I’m two years behind you, you aren’t alone in wondering where the years have gone. The photos are beautiful, the moose are so huge that I’d be afraid of getting run down!

You’re welcome, Susan! I have had the same experience but it can’t be true as time moves along at the same speed, right? Or, does it speed up and humans can’t actually see it happening.

Happy Birthday Susan, though a bit belated. You had a nice getaway to your favorite spot, saw your favorite animal and had a great time. Trum was left sulking at home I guess. 🙂 Did you ever think you would b 65? And I recently said when you remarked on my old photos, that we were about the same age – oops, I’m 68!

Ha ha Lynda no worries we’re pretty close in age! Trump came with us and had his picture taken a couple of times. I guess I forgot to put any in my blog.😁

Well, all the hiking and walking keeps both of us (and Clint) fit, plus you canoe as well. All that activity will keep us going for a long time hopefully. Okay, here I was advocating for Trum. 🙂

We Canucks have to stick together (even if I’ve been gone from Canada since ’66 and am here on a green card). That is the spirit!
