Back and Gone Again

Clint and I returned from our 2 1/2 month trip to Eastern Canada two weeks ago. We traveled with our truck and travel trailer, leaving from our home in Ontario and traveling to, and through, Quebec, Labrador, Newfoundland, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and back through Quebec to Ontario. We drove approximately 15,000 kms.

I have not had time to download and go through all my photos yet as we have been getting ready for our next trip. We are off to Algonquin Park to photograph wildlife and the Fall colours and enjoy a last camping trip for this year.

I thought I would share a couple of my wildlife photos that I took last Fall in Algonquin Park, maybe it will give me luck on this trip to see more. They are repeats but I never get tired of looking at my photos from Algonquin Park, my favourite place in the world.

Take care and enjoy the Fall. I will have new Blog posts later this year……

See you soon !

  2. These are all beautiful photos Susan – I am sure you will see equally great wildlife this trip and have a glorious leaf-peeping experience as well. It’s difficult to pick a favorite out of these photos – they are all so good, maybe the wistful-looking wolf you were lucky to photograph? I had to Google how many miles you went – 9,320. That’s a lot of driving over 2 1/2 months. Does Clint do all the driving since you’re pulling the trailer, or are you in the driver’s seat as well? Safe travels and happy shooting (the good kind) to both of you!

    1. Thanks Linda! Nope I have never driven with the trailer attached. He likes to drive with it and I don’t so it works out well lol. If I had to , I could though. I spent two amazing mornings photographing wolves, hopefully we can see them again this year. I love listening to them. And of course the Fall colours should be terrific. Although I did read that because of our hot and dry summer, they may not be as colourful. But it will still be a beautiful time of year😊

      1. I’d leave the driving to Clint too if it were me. 🙂 Well I hope you get to see the wolves again. One of my favorite wildlife photographers was Jim Brandenburg, who was famous for his wolf photography. I have several of his prints. I am hearing the same thing for our leaves too – the same thing happened last year, all due to the hot, dry Summer. You’re right – Fall is a beautiful time of year.
