Two of my favourite things……..toilets and animals lol. We walked through a lovely park called Jardin des Serres d’Auteuil. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful park to walk through. They had a huge greenhouse, shown below.

We went to a Canadian Bar right by the River Seine called The Great Canadian Pub. They have Canadian flags, hockey jerseys on the walls and poutine! Of course we had to stop and have a beer on their patio.

From there we ended up at the Hanoi Restaurant which had good food and we felt like we were back in Vietnam again.

One day we went to the Palais Garnier, (Opera House) and yes we had to purchase and reserve tickets. The lineup was huge to get in but once in it wasn’t too bad. It was a beautiful building and it would have been lovely to have watched a performance there.

I’ll add a few random photos I took before I move on to the next post. One interesting thing we noticed was that we kept seeing these large, stuffed Teddy Bears sitting at different outside restaurants. They are known as les nounours des Gobelins and it was started in 2018 by a local bookseller to bring joy and community spirit. There are 50+ bears scattered throughout the 13th arrondiseement (neighbourhood) I really enjoyed trying to spot them.

Who is that across the street ?

I thought I’d join this guy
