Bonnechere Provincial Park – July 2022 – Part 4

While we were camping at Bonnechere Provincial Park, we did some day trips out of the Park. The covered bridge (above photo) was one of the sites we saw. I completely forget where it was though. I keep a daily travel diary, so I say, but failed this day lol.

We also went into Eganville a couple of times. We had lunch one day on the roof top restaurant at Rio’s Bar and Grill. Great spot and the food was good. We had a view of the river and surrounding area.

There was another restaurant we went to one day and it was really good too. It was called Granary. It is a German restaurant and we really enjoyed it. We sat outside on the patio to have our dinner.

The town of Killaloe is not too far away either and we stopped there to get a Beaver Tail. This is actually the origin of where Beaver Tails came from, starting here in 1978, but surprise! The place was closed even though it was a Friday afternoon in July. So we were kinda disappointed. If you don’t know what a Beaver Tail, it’s a great Canadian treat, we really like them. They are a pastry in the shape of a beaver tail and deep fried. Then you can get different toppings to put on them. We always go with the original which is cinnamon and sugar.

They did have a cute sign with holes to stick your head through, I can’t resist these things so I’m in one and I put Trum in the other!

Bonnechere Provincial Park and area are worth the trip. We enjoyed camping there and may go back one day, if we have time!

See you soon….
