We went to the Millenium Trail back in June for a walk. We normally see all kinds of wildlife, flowers etc but this time it was dead as a doornail! Whatever that means…………
The heronry was empty, below is one of the empty nests.
We did spot a couple of birds. I thought this was a Purple Martin but when researching, I think it is a Tree Swallow. I may be wrong, wouldn’t be the first time!
And last but not least, this is the weirdest photo ever but here I am displaying it anyways. It looks like some kind of dog sitting up in the swamp. It’s a horrible photo but that piece of wood caught my eye!

It’s odd that most of the wildlife had scattered. Maybe there was a storm coming? I thought the wood was an animal too!

Maybe a storm was coming because we usually see so much more on this trail !
