Clint and I decided to head to Algonquin Park this past Monday. It was supposed to be a beautiful day and it was. Bright and sunny and only about -15 Celsius. We were up at 4 a.m. to head out as it is about a 2 1/2 – 3 hour drive from our house.
We went searching for the little Pine Martens. We have a few spots that we know of that they frequent but this trip we only saw one Pine Marten at one of our spots. But he/she was a cute one.

They have a ton more snow than we have where we live. The photo below is a picnic table and you can see how deep the snow is on top of it.

We took a walk down to the Cascades and the trail was pretty good.
Trail to the Cascades I decided this looked like a dinosaur so I gave him an eye Happy Snow Clint took this photo of me heading back to the truck Trail
The bridge crossing the river and the river, little bit of open water in there.
Bridge Cascades area Ice Teeth !
We also saw a Gray Jay and some other birds but no Moose.
Chickadee Gray Jay, Whiskey Jack or Canada Jay……….take your pick of names
