I did not take the above photo. It is a photo of Claude Monet born in Paris in 1840 passing away in 1926. He was a French painter and a key figure in Impressionist painting which were mostly plein-air landscapes. I like his paintings and we went to visit his gardens on the way back to Paris which is about an hours drive from Paris. It was so crowded there. I can’t believe the people that were there the day we were there. Clint and I hustled through so gardens pretty fast so we could get off the property and wander the village a bit where there not so many people
The very last photo (below) of a bush in a pot was actually a person. When someone got too close, he jumped up and scared them pretty good. It was funny to watch.

One of the paths

Lovely archway

His home
Gift shop, there’s always a gift shop
Village
Another gift shop in the village and a spot for a drink
“human bush” you can almost see his face
A few random photos from the city of Paris and then next Blog post, Clint and I spend a couple of hours in the Catacombs of Paris and that was very interesting and unique.

Beautiful boulevards

A nice spot for a cafe

I love the older buildings

Paris is a lovely city to visit but we probably won’t go back only because there are so many other cities and countries to visit. Stay tuned next post for the Catacombs !
