There is a spot on highway 60 in Algonquin Park that everyone stops at. It’s one of my favourite views. When you look at a map of the Park, there is no name for this marshy area. We have taken our canoe in their and there is a portage trail across on the other side. You can go into Cache Lake or cross the highway and go into Tanamakoon Lake. So years ago Clint and I got tired of saying stop at that nameless spot on the highway so we named it Monkey Lake in honour of Trum.

That’s is for now, thanks for coming for a look.
I like how you named the lake, so fun! The lake looks like a classic glacial lake that is slowly filling in with marsh, in time the lake will be gone. Lovely photos! ❤️🇨🇦

I think it’s great you named the lake/venue after Trum … why should humans have all the fun? 🙂 I had no idea that Algonquin Park was so big, having last seen it when I was six or seven.

It’s huge and the hwy 60 corridor is where the campgrounds are, the rest is bush and backcountry.
