The Royal Hotel in downtown Picton, built in 1879 and recently restored. It’s a beautiful building and I wanted to see the inside. They were advertising $12 pizza Mondays and who can resist that? So off we went for $12 pizza and a look-see.

They had a great beer and wine selection. I chose a beer from Leftfield Brewery, my son used to live near there (in Toronto) and we always enjoyed their brews 
They make their own dough and it was a very good Genoa Pizza. They had 6-7 different types 
Clint decided to jump off the pizza train and order the daily pasta special which I don’t remember 
Very nice, very modern

It’s a nice hotel with different dining areas and sitting areas, a spa, gym, meeting areas and more.

The service was terrific and the food and drink were great. A really lovely spot to spend a couple of hours.
