Samuel du Champlain Provincial Park has a very interesting Visitor Centre, lots to see and lots to learn. I love reading about the fur trade and the Voyageurs. This is a replica of a Voyageur canoe (above) and as I mentioned in Part One of this park, you can rent a seat in a real one and help others paddle it down the river for a bit. It’s pretty cool to do.
Here are some other photos of the Visitor Centre and inside the Visitor Centre.
Visitor Centre Interesting facts I love seeing photos/paintings of the Voyageurs, what a rough life they had Beautiful painting Nope, not for me…….I could not have that thing on my forehead Birchbark canoe Map of the area
We loved that Visitor Centre, some Visitor Centres hit and miss with what they offer but this one serves up education and interest.
Random photo Clint took of me on one of our hikes.

Well that’s it for this Park, five Blog posts…. Did I mention I like this Park?
See you next time, we head over the border to Le Belle Province, Quebec.
Your first photo of the canoe sparked my imagination with all sorts of stories. Awesome! 🛶 Safe travels!

I like that canoe and how fun you can rent a seat and paddle together. I don’t blame you for liking this park so much. I like the photo Clint took of you on this wooden bridge. Very nice!
