Green Heron on the Moira River

We have been pretty busy the last few weeks but yesterday morning we managed to go paddling on the Moira River, one of my favourite spots. We spotted a Green Heron right away and sat for a very long time photographing him. I took hundreds of photos but here are just some of my pics. I think you would get bored looking at hundreds! lol

Moira River
Everything is green! The water was covered with it.

The launch and there is our canoe.

Hope you enjoyed the Heron photos!

Take care and stay safe.

  1. What a beautiful bird and amazing captures! I needed you today as I was almost home and driving when I watched a bald eagle swoop down and grab a critter near a creek. It happened so fast I couldn’t make out what it was but it was right next to a house so I am hopping it wasn’t a pet!

    1. Thanks Diane! Oh wow hope it wasn’t a small dog! I’ve heard of that happening. I love Bald Eagles, they are so majestic. I have a bunch of photos I took this summer of Eagles but haven’t had time to look through.
