Presquile Provincial Park

Red Headed Woodpecker

We had a great time at Presquile Provincial Park the other day. It’s a beautiful park and set right on Lake Ontario. We met some friends and hiked quite a bit and did a lot of photo taking. Well, I didn’t do a lot, I mostly just wanted a social day out and to have lunch with friends, Mission Accomplished!

Here a couple of my photos….

A trail….

  1. Love the photos of the birds. Orioles are beautiful and on a crisp winter day I like to hear the sound of the woodpecker. He sounds like a jack hammer in the middle of nowhere. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Looks like a nice walk and closer to home for you. I’ve never seen a Baltimore Oriole or a Red-Headed Woodpecker though they are around. I’ve only seen the Red-bellied and Downy Woodpeckers.
