I loved this place, we only stayed a few hours in Nazare, just enough time to walk around and have lunch. This place is famous for surfers, the waves are huge due to a Nazare Canyon which is an underwater phenomenon that creates, or forms, perfect giant waves. This is the largest underwater canyon in Europe, 170 kms long along the coast and reaches a depth of 5,000 metres. In 2011, a surfer from Hawaii made the news when he rode the biggest wave in the world, about 30 metres high, not for me !

I love their sidewalks !
Where we ate our lunch
My lunch, some kind of fish and fries
Clean lookin’ alleyway
town square
Not as many people on the beach as one might think there should be
Some boats on the shore
Next stop……..to Lisbon, Portugal for a couple of days. See you soon !

That’s a beautiful place and beach! I hope you took a quick dip or got your feet wet.

We have a large area of Corktown in Detroit done in paver bricks – it makes it look very quaint.

Sure looks like paradise and a lot of work went into those sidewalks. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
