We left Port Hope Simpson to go to Pinware River Provincial Park about 170 kms. The temperature has been dropping, again……..15 Celsius today. In Ontario, it’s about 38 Celsius and then some. The scenery on this drive is a bit different, a lot rocks and chubby trees, kind of reminds me of the Yukon. Set up on our site and we were set up really quick, the black flies are something from a Stephen King novel. Pretty foggy in this area.

Entrance to the Campground
The road to our site followed the water
A really crappy photo of a seal, they were all along the coast
Ducks !
Seagulls resting
Seagulls at Play
Another road in the park
We did see a bit of wildlife
After we set up, we drove around the area, heading first to Mary’s Harbour which was cute and population about 470.
We stopped on a bridge to see the Pinware River, a beautiful spot and we noticed a bunch of guys climbing down the rocks to go fishing.

Clint on the bridge, we parked and walked down to get photos
A beautiful river, I took quite a lot of photos of this river, probably one of my favourite photos this trip
If you look close, you can see the men going down the rocks
We drove to West Saint Modeste (population 330) which was pretty scenic.

On the road!
Our Lady of Labrador Chapel
Abandoned boat
Lighthouse
We also went to L’anse au Loupe and L’Anse au Clair and headed home, it was a busy day. Below some photos of the area.

A cemetery

This post is a little long but I tried to just keep it to photos to give an idea of what Labrador looks like.
The next day we drove to Red Bay which is a very interesting spot.
See you then…

It’s a very wild and beautiful place! Mr. Bunny is sooo cute! 🥰
