Versailles Palace is about an hour from Paris. We stopped here on our way into Paris on the last day of our Battlefields Tour. It was beautiful and I can’t imagine living in such a large place.

The entrance
Some of the buildings
Everything was so lovely
A chair? A throne? I’m not sure

Stairway
My friend Eddie on the left! We hung around with him a bit on our trip. He was from San Diego
The gardens
A boat ride on the Seine River was in order and it was a pretty packed boat but it was still enjoyable to see all the beautiful buildings from the river.

On the river
I can’t remember what a lot of these buildings are that we passed
Everything was very lavish
Assemblee Nationale

The buildings are quite something

Clint took a pic of me with the Eiffel Tower in the background
We went to visit Saint Sulpice Church, as tall as Notre Dame it is the largest church in the city. This church was in the movie Da Vinci Code. We were told the organ in the church survived the 1780’s French. It is dedicated to Sulpitius the Pious. Construction of the present building, the second on the site, began in 1646.

Outside

Pulpit
Next stop, the Musee de L’Armee Invalides…………..

Incredible and beautiful architecture! I think the throne is a bed. It must have taken a very long time to build these places.

I agree, it must’ve taken a long time and yet today it takes months just to fill a pothole lol

Yes indeed! Michigan thinks that slopping to coal patch in a pothole is repairing it. Bologna! Thatnk you Democrat governors…
