Mattawa is the cutest little town, right on the water at the confluence of the Mattawa and Ottawa rivers. We happened to be camping there during Voyageur Days so we went to town to see what was going on. They had crafts, displays, entertainment a beer tent, and more! You can imagine where I went. It was a lot of fun. They also had a 3 day music festival that weekend featuring Cory Marks, The Sheepdogs and a bunch of tribute bands. I do like the Sheepdogs but we did not get tickets to go.
The Music festival was set up in this area
Craft booths Lots of stuff to do and see The Beer Tent area and entertainment were back here! Guess where I was? lol Mattawa is famous for the wooden statues throughout the town
Le Voyageur Inn for Thai Cuisine, one of the best Thai meals we have ever had Beautiful restaurant inside There’s Clint! Inside before you get into the dining room A very small downtown Anothe store with a wooden statue
If you get to this area, it’s beautiful and lots to do. So says I…..
One of my favourite areas, till next time…
Such a nice town! The first photo of the lake is beautiful, and so inviting. ❤️🇨🇦

How lucky you were to be so close to go to this festival and little town. It sounds like a lot of fun. I like the idea of the wooden statues all over town too.

Yes I liked the statues too and they all told a bit of history. It’s funny, we didn’t even know the festival was on. We just drove into town one day from the Park and wondered what was going on! It was a lot of fun
