We watched one Baboon family and their little guy was so cute, and he was also a handful ! I took some cute videos of him which you can look at on my Trums Travels Facebook page. I don’t tend to put videos on here. While I’m on the topic, my husband has a website where he posts his photos, here is his link: Clint Guy PBase photos. His photos are terrific so check him out if you have a minute.
There are not separate terms for the males and females of the various monkey species. But, a group of baboons is called a troop, and a group of female baboons belonging to the same troop is called a harem. So there’s that………

The family
He was so adorable !
He was always into something
Dad, need I mention how I know?
Transport
Snugs which are Snuggles/Hugs put together
He was a handful !
they were all over the place !
There are three species of zebras, which I did not know until I went on this trip. The Grevy, Mountain and Plains zebras. Other interesting facts is they sleep standing up, their strips are unique (like fingerprints), excellent hearing/eyesight and they can run at speeds of up to 35 miles per hour. They are herbivores and feed mostly on grasses as well as leaves and stems of bushes.
We also saw a baby zebra (foal) with her Mom (mare) and her Dad (stallion). We were really lucky, we saw so many baby/young animals during this 3 week trip. That was my favourite part of this trip, seeing the families.

Lunchtime
Look at the little one kicking up his heels !
I like to do some photos in B&W
Family
That’s it for now..
Later Gaters………………..

They are all so cute! ☺️

A fabulous nature escape. Thank you so very much! That precious baby – just like a curious human toddler. Daddy was clearly identifiable. 😂 Zebras are so oddly beautiful. Isn’t nature grand? Love the black and whites – a most fitting subject. 🦓😁

I loved the babies – so sweet. The ears on that baby baboon made me smile. And the zebra foal kicking up its heels was great too – zebras in color or black and white looked super!
