Clint and I went to Spain and Portugal last Fall for 3 weeks. We had never been to either country before so it was very enjoyable. We were in Madrid for a couple of days first. It’s a beautiful city but I have to say we were so busy last year that on this trip, I took a lot of photos but am having trouble remembering where they were ! And yes I keep a journal but apparently not very well. lol
We did go to the Las Ventas Bullring, it’s quite a beautiful building. We did not go in nor watch bull fights, that’s not my thing.

We saw so much in Madrid, one of the spots was Cathedral de la Almudena across from the Royal Palace.

We climbed up to the rooftop

Below are some street shots and other places we stopped, it’s a beautiful city and far too much to see in a couple of days.

So many statues in Spain !
There were walking Stuffies all over the place! Trust me to find them lol
Cool little bar we found
Sitting at the cool little bar and the owner kept bringing out food for us and did not charge us for the food!

Well if you need a duck, this is the spot !
Another Stuffie ! I think it’s Sonic?
A very beautiful city
Now we are off to Salamanca and Porto ! Stay tuned………..

A beautiful city, wow! Plenty of statues for sure, and free food! You can’t beat that. 😍☺️

does a “walking stuffy” mean a person was in it?
I wonder why they used the Panda as there isn’t a Panda within 10,000 clicks?

Yes there were people in the stuffie outfits! I don’t know, I was wondering if maybe they were characters from a cartoon show?

I enjoyed Madrid, having spent a week there in 1974 with friends of the family. She grew up there and took us to all the places you mentioned. I had taken notes because believe me, over the course of the three weeks spent there, I lost track of how many old buildings we visited. They made me go into the bullfight, but I didn’t watch the fight. I did go to the chapel where the matadors pray before the fight. The bull unfortunately doesn’t get to do that … killing an animal for sport is not my thing either. I look forward to the rest of your trip!

What a great trip! I wonder what they do with the ducks? Maybe it’s like the Beanie Baby craze. Lol
