I can’t believe it’s been so long since I have done a Blog post but we have been away. Clint and I have been traveling since May until about 2 weeks ago. We are home now and I have been trying to edit all my photos, work on a presentation I am doing in December and also the usual housework, yardwork, errands, appointments etc. All the stuff you don’t have to do when you are traveling!
I am going to do a bunch of short posts to start and they will be focused on our month long camping trip in Algonquin park . For those that know me, you know it’s my favourite place and only about 2 1/2 hours drive from our house. It’s beautiful there in the fall but frankly, I go for the moose. We didn’t see a lot this year, in 4 weeks there we saw 11. That sounds like a lot but three of them were butt shots as they sped past us into the woods. haha
So below are some of a cow and bull that were together and then one day we spotted a Bull, cow and calf all together. They were so far away, across a big field. I have my “big” lens, it’s a 200-500 mm lens so I used that and the photos are okay but maybe a little fuzzy. I would loved to have seen them come closer but they don’t listen lol.
Nice looking cow Having a drink I do like this photo, yeah I know, I took it lol Cow and calf from far away Bull Moose
So I will leave this post as is…………and hopefully start on another today. For the Blog Friends whose posts I follow, I have been trying to keep up as I enjoy all your posts so hopefully with our travel done for awhile, I can do that !
Thanks for dropping in……Take care
I hope you will be asked to do another presentation at Probus. Is is okay if I mention your name to our retired teachers group.

I can’t believe how stocky the legs are in the first few pictures! The racks always amaze me and I love the way the cow and calf are looking right at you. Love seeing your pictures again!

I think the bull moose are so majestic! I love their racks too and I can’t get enough of seeing them in the woods. (or wherever lol)

What a treat to see the moose. It makes me cold seeing it standing in the water. And the antlers on the one moose – I like that photo too Susan. They looked right at you in the one shot and I have to laugh at the “butt shots” reference. My squirrel tail in my Halloween post was a boo boo, but it fit the storyline, so I went with it. 🙂

How rude of them – they should know they are the star of the show!
