Not my type of shoes but Clint wanted me to try them on, I think they are too big.
We did go to the Sex Museum and Prostitution Museum. I know what you are thinking but they actually were very interesting and in fact, I found the Prostitution Museum quite sad. There was a lot of information and stories and the history of the sex trade etc. I was surprised also to go down to the Red Light District and see women in the windows selling sex. I honestly thought that was a thing of the past but nope. There they were. I found this also very sad. You are not allowed to take photos in this area at all.

What do they have in here?
And below, to wrap up our trip to Amsterdam, is a selection of random photos.

So that was 2024 travels. We also went to Algonquin Park in the Autumn but I did blog about that already. In February of this year, 2025, we went to Costa Rica and I have also blogged that trip.
We since went to Europe for 5 weeks which hopefully I will have ready to talk about next. We spent a week in London, a 10 day bus WWI and WWII bus trip through Belgium to Paris, then 12 days on our own in Paris and then another 11 day bus trip around France and to Monaco. That was in April/May 2025.
So until next time, take care…

Wow, that’s a LOT of travel, guys!! Too much for me. Amsterdam looks so beautiful, too bad about the rubbish issue. I suppose cities around the globe deal with that in some way. They really like our aliens from Area 51! I think those shoes are a wee bit too big for you, Susan. 😂 Thanks for sharing the pics!

Well I will admit I am envious of all your travels – but the second best thing is being able to read about them here. It amazes me about all the trash, since Amsterdam looks so clean, quaint and I love the canal area and little shops. That’s really too bad. Only one treat for Clint in that bakery with the cookies. I like the looks of that stroopwafel. 🙂 If you ate a lot of stroopwafels you would be wearing a shoe size big enough to fit into the wooden clogs. I will look forward to your 2025 travels.

Ha ha, that’s funny Lynda I actually did not eat stroopwaffles. I had one tiny bite of one of Clint‘s but I didn’t really like them. They’re very sweet. We do like to travel and we are trying to get as much as we can in while we still can.

It did look kind of sweet, but with all the walking you guys do, that big stroopwaffle would be down in your toes come dinner time. 🙂 That is the attitude to have Susan – see and do everything while you are able to!

If only those shoes fit in your suitcase, they’d be perfect! I heard about the Red-Light District from a fellow traveler, but didn’t make it there. I didn’t see all that litter either. Sure is a lot to see there! Thank you for sharing your travels.

You are welcome, my friend. Yes the red light District did surprise me. I didn’t think it was still an ongoing thing. And for the most part, I guess the city was clean, but there were some areas that there was quite a lot of garbage. But I suppose all cities have that in some areas.

tge litter was scooped up every morning by workers. Tge birds do tge majority of the litter. Every night they get in all the bins and open everything up.

Tge birds do tge garbage every night from the bins. The workers and their machinery pick it up every day.
